Robotics Team Finishes First in State Qualifier

The Bishop Fenwick High School Robotics Team, Robo Kai, recently finished first in their state qualifier and is advancing to the state championships, to be held March 4-5. The Fenwick team also won the Control Award, which is given to the team that demonstrates innovative thinking to solve game challenges such as autonomous operation, improving mechanical systems with intelligent control, or using sensors to achieve better results.
 
The Fenwick team is composed of Nate Ubbelohde ‘23, Andrew Adams ’24, Burke Melzer ‘24, Aiden Povse ‘24, Jake Yingling ’24,and Oliver Tebbe ’25, and is coached and mentored by Chandler Anthony and Nick Ubbelohde. Robo Kai is only in its second year and is currently ranked second in the state and ninth in the world.
