Retreats
The retreat program exists to bring students into deeper relationship with Christ and each other through prayer, faith sharing, and the sacraments. Each retreat is an essential part of students’ formation as Christians and in the four Falcon Talons. All Fenwick students are required to attend all four retreats as part of their graduation requirements.
Freshmen attend a one-day off campus retreat focused on their identities as sons and daughters of God. The themes throughout the day focus on these three questions: Who am I? Who is God? What am I seeking? Our student ministry team helps lead this retreat as small group leaders.
Sophomores attend a one-day off campus retreat at Camp Joy that focuses on team building activities, virtue, and healthy friendships. The class is split into two days with boys attending one day, and girls attending the other.
Juniors attend a three-day, two-night retreat at Damascus Catholic Youth Summer Camp in Centerburg, OH. This retreat helps our students wrestle with the big questions of life: “What will make me happy? How will I live my life? Is God real? Does He care about me?” The goal of the Abundant Life retreat at Damascus is to meet students at this critical point, to help them explore those questions, and invite them to discover for themselves the answer is in relationship with Jesus. Seniors attend a four-day, three-night Kairos Retreat at the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford. Students reflect on the Paschal mystery and how their lives mirror the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Seniors explore and deepen their relationships with one with God, self, and others.
