High School Placement Test (HSPT)

Step 1: Get Ready for the HSPT!

What is the High School Placement Test (HSPT)?
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is the standardized exam used by all area Catholic high schools to assess student readiness and determine appropriate course placement. Students entering 8th grade in Fall 2026, who plan to apply to a Catholic high school, are required to take the HSPT in November 2026.

About the Course
Our HSPT Prep Course is led by ACE Prep Test, a team of experienced, practicing teachers. They help students strengthen key skills in language, reading, and math, while also teaching effective test‑taking strategies. Through guided practice and interactive instruction, students become familiar with the exam format and build confidence ahead of test day.

Step 2: Register for the 2026 HSPT.

Registration opens August 2026, for the November 21, 2026 test.

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati manages the registration for the High School Placement Test for all Archdiocesan Schools. Parents of interested eighth graders should register their child for the test, choose their preferred school testing site, and pay the $30 test fee.

Your student can register to take the exam on our campus.
