Kairos Class of 2018Retreats

The retreat program at Bishop Fenwick High School exists to bring students into deeper relationship with Christ and each other through prayer, faith sharing, and the sacraments.  Each retreat is an essential part of students’ formation in the four Falcon Talons of faith, integrity, compassion and service.  Our retreat program is intended to address issues of concern to our students as they mature into young adulthood. All Bishop Fenwick students are required to attend all four retreats as part of their graduation requirements.

Freshmen will attend a one-day retreat focused on the Falcon Talons of faith, integrity, compassion, and service.  This is an opportunity for the freshmen to build community as a class and explore how they are called to live their faith.  Freshman retreat is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14th, 2016 and will be held at Armco Park.  Students should arrive at school by 8:25am and will return by 2:45pm.

Sophomores will make a one-day retreat at Camp Joy in Oregonia, OH.  Students will continue to develop their understanding of the Falcon Talons as they interact with one another in both small and large group activities.  Sophomore retreats are  tentatively scheduled for April 6th  & 7th, 2017.  Students should arrive at school by 8:25am and will return by 2:45pm.

Juniors will attend a two-day, one-night retreat during the month of August at the Bergamo Center in Dayton, OH.  Through witness talks given by the retreat team, small group reflections, and guided prayer experiences students will deepen their relationships with one another and with God. During spring of junior year, the first group will attend Kairos followed by a summer group and two fall groups:Kairos Class of 2018

Seniors attend a four-day, three-night Kairos Retreat at the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford, OH.  In the spring of their junior year the first  group from the class of 2016 will attend Kairos followed by three more groups. The complete list of groups and dates can be downloaded by clicking Kairos Class of 2017.  Students will reflect on the Paschal mystery and how their own lives mirror the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.  Seniors will explore and deepen their relationships with God, self, and others.
